SimpleGPS (https://simplegps.bg) is a cloud-based GPS vehicle tracking service operated by Simple Works Ltd. This Service Description summarises what the Service does and how it is delivered. It supplements the Terms of Service.
What the Service does
SimpleGPS provides real-time GPS tracking for private vehicles and small fleets. Customers attach a Teltonika tracker (FMB003, FMB920 or FMC003) to a vehicle; the tracker uses a 1NCE SIM card to stream positions over the cellular network to our Codec 8E TCP listener on port 5027. The platform then shows live positions on a map, records trip history, fires alerts on geofence entry/exit, speed and ignition events, and produces reports.
Core capabilities
- Live map - real-time positions of every vehicle in the workspace, with ignition, speed and battery state.
- Trip history - replay any journey on the map, with start/stop points, distance, duration and speed profile.
- Geofences - circular and polygon zones that fire entry/exit alerts.
- Alerts & notifications - speed thresholds, geofence breaches, ignition on/off, low battery, harsh braking/acceleration (where supported), and SOS where wired.
- Reports - daily, weekly and monthly mileage, idle time, trip lists and driver scoring (where enabled).
- OBD-II telemetry (FMC003) - engine RPM, fuel level, coolant temperature, DTC codes and other PIDs read over OBD-II.
- Vehicle sharing - share read-only access to a vehicle with a family member or driver via a tokenised link.
- Multi-vehicle dashboards - one workspace can hold one private car or a small fleet with role-based access for staff.
- REST API - token-authenticated API for each workspace.
Architecture & hosting
The Service is multi-tenant with strict isolation: each customer workspace runs in its own dedicated database. The application, GPS ingest listener and databases are hosted in the European Union.
Security
Encryption in transit (TLS) for the web app, hashed passwords (bcrypt), per-tenant database isolation, role-based access control with granular permissions, optional two-factor authentication, CSRF protection, rate-limited authentication and regular backups. Technical and organisational measures are detailed in the Data Processing Addendum.
Plans & support
The Service is offered on a subscription basis. Current plans, limits and support levels are shown at https://simplegps.bg. Support response targets are set out in the Service Level Agreement.
Availability
We target high availability as described in the Service Level Agreement. The Service and these descriptions may evolve over time; material reductions in core functionality will be communicated.
